As I mentioned in my post, Healthy Breast Tip: Garlic!, garlic has many wonderful healing properties.
Today I’m going to break down the 3 most influential for your health:

- Allicin:Â Allicin is a powerful sulfur plant compound that is antibiotic and anti-fungal. This substance is only created when you chop or cut garlic. (When you cut garlic the enzyme allinase is released and converts the original allin to allicin) Â Allin does not have any health benefits until it becomes allicin.
- Flavonoids:Â Flavonoids are aromatic plant compounds that are considered to have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Antioxidants protect your body from oxygen free radical damage that can lead to cancer.
- Selenium:Â Research shows that this plant chemical may be anti-mutagens ( meaning a substance that can prevent cancer by blocking damage to cells DNA or stimulating the body to repair damaged DNA.) Â It also stimulates the production of glutathione (one of your body’s natural antioxidants.)
