Turmeric is prepared by boiling the root of the Curcuma longa plant and then grounding it into a powder. It can be found in every grocery store and be used as a cooking tool. (I recommend always buying organically grown to avoid any harmful chemical and pesticides.) I love sprinkling about 1/4 teaspoon of Turmeric on my vegetables to enhance the flavors!
