At work, we are encouraged to think on our feet. We are encouraged to improve ourselves and hone the three essential qualities required in today’s workplace: perseverance, determination, and focus.

A person that is focused on what they want is of value. Someone who has their mind set on achieving their goals. A person who’s determined, and will not try and get out of their responsibilities.

A bit like an ant!

Cultivate Your Inner Ant

Have you ever tried to stop an ant without killing it? You cannot stop the ant from trying to get around, go under or over whatever obstacles they encounter in its way. If you put an ant in a sealed jar, you will notice that it will try to find its way out until it can go on no longer.

What an amazing example of perseverance, determination, and focus.

Continued Learning

As long as a person is breathing, he or she must never stop learning.

There is a saying, “the more I know, the more I forget.” Some people say that their hunger for knowledge stops when they graduate from university. An entity who thinks in this way is setting themselves up to be an underachiever for the rest of their lives!

Analyze those around you. Compare the ones that have continued learning to the ones that think that learning ends after school.

Don’t end up like them! Start learning and don’t stop until you’ve realized your full potential. We all must do our best to become better in all aspects of our life.

When times are tough, we must also stay focused and never surrender. Staying focused allows us to continue putting our best foot forward. Continue with your winning attitude to succeed no matter what.

Arthur Ashe said, “Success is a journey, not a destination”. You are on a never-ending journey of learning, vocation and discipline.

Live Without Worry

Worry is something we all do. Worry robs us of natural energy and makes our life a living hell.

For this reason, we should repeat to ourselves a phrase that helps us stop worrying so much, such as “I’m no longer doing to worry about tomorrow because I don’t know what tomorrow will bring.”

We all have the inner strength to control worry. Many things can trigger worry: family problems, financial difficulties, and even your love life.

Sometimes, people worry so much that it affects their performance and behavior. If we allow worry to overwhelm our lives, we forget our chief purpose, and that is to continue learning and growing.

It’s also important to keep family problems out of your working life. Try to leave all your domestic problems at home, and focus on your work at your office or school.
