To continue with my Health Breast Tips today I will be teaching you about Flaxseeds.
When it comes to your breast health flaxseed is one of the best foods you can eat.
According to research, flaxseed has more potent medicinal qualities that any other known edible plant. (Impressive!)
Here’s some of it’s amazing qualities:
- Flaxseed is the richest Plant Source of Omega-3 fatty Acids. Research has shown that woman who eat the highest amount of omega-3s have the lowest risk of Breast Cancer.
You might be wondering how? Well omega-3 fatty acids (as I wrote in this previous post) help decrease inflammation and the rate at which breast cancer cells divide in response to estrogen.
- – Flaxseed has high levels of lignans. Lignans are known to acts as anticancer compounds by blocking powerful growth factor receptors.
- Flaxseeds can also help you if you are already diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Scientists found that eating flaxseeds can help cut the risk of dying from breast cancer later in life by 40 %.
3 tablespoons of ground flaxseed a day can provide you with these effects.
Pretty amazing statistics. Eating Flaxseeds everyday is another example of how what we eat can directly effect our Breast Health.
